Bio

Craig Buckley enters his ninth year with the Bulldogs in 2020-21. He started at Bryant in January 2013 after serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Pittsburgh for a year.

At Pitt, Buckley worked specifically with the football team, helping the athletes significantly improve their overall strength, speed and conditioning. He also assisted with testing, program writing, data entry and provided nutritional advice.

Prior to arriving at Pitt, Buckley spent five years as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at N.C. State. While with the Wolfpack, he worked mainly with the football team.

Buckley also spent three seasons as an intern at Boston College, working with men’s and women’s basketball, hockey, track and field, baseball and softball.

A 2004 graduate of Bridgewater State University, Buckley was the school’s athlete of the year and a two-time NCAA All-American in wrestling. He earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science and his master’s in strength and conditioning in 2006.

He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Weightlifting and the National Council of Strength and Fitness as an APT certified personal trainer.
