Karinchak strikes out three in MLB debut

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University baseball alum James Karinchak made his MLB debut for the Cleveland Indians on Saturday, Sept. 14.

Karinchak made his debut with two outs in the eighth inning on Sept. 14 against the Minnesota Twins. He went on toss 1 1/3 scoreless innings, striking out three batters in the top of the ninth inning.

He is the second player in Bryant history to play in a Major League game, joining Keith MacWhorter.
