Inaugural Baseball Leadoff Fundraising Dinner set for Feb. 8

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University baseball team will hold its inaugural Baseball Leadoff Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, February 8.

Alumni, family and friends are all invited to celebrate the baseball program and kickoff the 2020 season.

The day will start with an inter-squad scrimmage in the Conaty Indoor Athletic Center at 3:15 p.m. and end with a cocktail reception and dinner in the Stepan Grand Hall from 6-9 p.m.

Bryant has been the most successful program in the Northeast since the start of the 2011 season, winning more games (287) than any other team in the region. The Bulldogs have won 40+ games four times in the last seven years and have made three NCAA Tournament appearances at the Division I level.

Bryant begins the 2020 season Friday, Feb. 14, when the Bulldogs face Dayton in Wilmington, North Carolina. Opening Day at Conaty Park is slated for Wednesday, March 18, when Hartford visits Smithfield.
