SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University baseball team faces No. 24 Old Dominion in a three-game series this weekend in Norfolk, Va. The series opens Friday afternoon with a 3:00 p.m. first pitch.

All three games will be broadcast CUSA.tv.

Bryant vs. Old Dominion

  • Bryant and Old Dominion will be meeting for the second time at the Division I level. The Monarchs won the last meeting in 2015, 9-8 when they faced off for the first time. That game brought much excitement featuring three lead changes, three ties, 17 runs, 26 hits and 13 extra-base hits.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Bryant returns to action after getting swept in a three-game at Davidson. The Bulldogs got outscored 23-2 in the series, but will look to bounce back.
  • The Bulldogs swept East Carolina opening weekend. It was the first time Bryant or an NEC team had swept a nationally ranked opponent.
  • Coach, Ryan Klosterman, starts his third season 3-3. 
  • Logan Allen leads the team with eight hits on a batting average of .348 and slugging percentage of .391. He also leads the team in runs scored with five and adds on two stolen bases as well.
  • Collin Lowe and Jared Burrows have combined to walk one and strike out 21 over 20.0 innings. Each have posted a 1.80 ERA in two starts.
