Bulldogs fall to No. 24 ODU in series finale
NORFOLK, Va. – The Bryant University baseball team dropped its series final with No. 24 Old Dominion, 23-7, on Sunday afternoon.
Matt Smith posted two hits and an RBI as 10 different Bulldogs recorded hits on the afternoon.

How it Happened
- Bryant jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first with four doubles. Logan Allen and Derek Smith stroked back-to-back doubles to start the game, while Matt Woods and John Tuccillo added RBI doubles to make it 3-0.
- ODU, however, scored the next 10 runs to take a 10-3 lead after five innings.
- In the sixth, Smith brought home a run with a double and Jackson Phinney scored a run with a ground out. Damaurys Rodriguez made it 10-6 with a pinch-hit single to right.
- The Monarchs responded with four runs in the sixth and four runs in the seventh.
- Randy Carlo produced Bryant's final run with a solo home run in the eighth.
