  • Bryant quickly answered as Petosa opened the fifth with a long solo home run to right, his first-career home run. Back-to-back singles then set up an RBI double into left from Lane. Three batters later, Tuccillo laced a 2-1 pitch into right center to clear the bases and give Bryant a 5-3 lead.
  • The Bulldogs tacked on single runs in the sixth and seventh. Lane came through with a two-out RBI single to score Cole Wojtkowski in the sixth and Tuccillo brought home Rodriguez with a sac fly in the seventh.
  • CCSU got a run back with a sac fly of its own in the bottom of the seventh.
