Baseball heads to FDU for NEC series

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University baseball team travels to Teaneck, New Jersey, this weekend for a three-game Northeast Conference series against Fairleigh Dickinson. 

Bryant and FDU open their series on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and will close it out with single games on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

  • Bryant enters the weekend 11-14 overall and 3-3 in NEC play. The Bulldogs posted a 13-4 victory over URI on Tuesday. 
  • Alex Lane enters the weekend second in the NEC with seven home runs. He has homered six times in his last 12 games. 
  • Lane and John Tuccillo are tied for the team lead with 18 RBI apiece.
  • Matt Woods enters the weekend with eight doubles, three triples and a home run. 
  • Christian Allegretti has been a key reliever for Bryant, striking out 20 in 19.0 innings. 
  • Coleman Picard and Jackson Vanekso have also excelled of late. Picard has notched four-straight scoreless outings (5.2 innings), while Vanesko has allowed one run over his last three appearances (5.2 innings).
