DANCE TEAM RETURNS FOR PRESEASON PREPARATION

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University Dance team has been hard at work in preparation for their upcoming season.

The team eagerly moved into their dorms on August 17th, one week prior to the rest of the students on campus, to focus on their dance skills and team bonding. The team spent over fifteen hours of hard work at practice and learned three new routines in just twenty-four hours. On top of it all, the seasoned members ensured that the new dancers had the team’s signature routines down pat.

Through their strength and dedication, the Dance team hopes to secure their bid to the annual NCA/NDA National Collegiate Championship competition occurring in April. This past year at the competition, the Bryant University Cheer and Dance teams were named Game Day Division I National Champions. The team hopes to return and achieve this tremendous title for a second time.

In addition to their competition preparation, the Dance team has been gearing up for the upcoming football season where they will perform during halftime and on the sidelines at all home games. Their first performance is set for the 14th of September when the Bulldogs will take on Fordham University.

To support their upcoming season, the members of the Dance team volunteered to work concessions at Gillette Stadium during the New England Revolution game on Saturday, August 31st. Keep an eye out for the Bryant University Dance team as they light up the field this semester!
