BULLDOGS SCORE BIG WIN OVER NEW HAVEN

SMITHFIELD, RI – The Men’s Club Lacrosse team returned from spring break on Sunday afternoon to host the University of New Haven in their home opener. After a slow first quarter, the Bulldogs offense began to find the back of the net and with help of the defense who limited New Haven to just two late second half goals - the Bulldogs came away with a 14-4 victory.

● Logan Sarkisian: 4 goals

● Harry Falowski: 3 goals & 2 assists

● Spencer Peters: 2 goals

● Joe Chiappetta: 2 goals

● Julian Caplan: 1 goal & 1 assist

● Brian Wildman: 1 goal & 1 assist

● Tanner McLaughlin: 1 goal & 4 assists

● Colton Scholl: 1 goal

● Thomas Fruci: 3 assists

● Ethan Morawski: 2 assists

● Lucas Danchisko: 1 assist

● Aiden Hill: 1 assist

● Evan Leonard: 12/15 on faceoffs

 

Highlights:

● Joe Chiappetta got the Bulldogs on the board with a last second goal in the first quarter to cut the early deficit to 1.

● The Offense went on to score 6 unanswered with goals coming from Sarkisian, Chiappetta, Falowski, and Peters to take a 6-2 halftime lead.

● An incredibly strong defensive second half limited New Haven to just 2 goals as Marani, Cavallerano, Wilson, Fein, Hill, McNeil, and Uberoi combined for over 10 caused turnovers.

● After a slow first quarter, Evan Leonard did not lose a single faceoff going 12/15 from the X posting a strong 80%.
