Meet The New Pep Band Director

Meet The New Pep Band Director

In the Fall of 2021, we welcomed our new pep band director Dr. Matthew Visconti to Bryant University.

Dr. Visconti has been teaching since 2010, and first started out as a graduate assistant at Boston University. His main instrument he has played is the bass trombone.

He went to the University of Hartford for his undergraduate and then headed over to Boston University for his masters and ended up getting his doctorate degree at the University of Memphis.

Advice from Dr. Visconti, “Going to college is one of the best experiences of your life. There is no other time in your life where you have the chance to meet new people, try new things, safely learn from failures, and have fun all at the same time. So do it! Get to know as many people as you can and pursue every possible opportunity! Network, get involved, be present, honor your commitments, learn from failure, have fun, and work hard. Be present in the moment and don’t be afraid to try new things! Life is unexpected and it will throw a lot at you. The best thing you can do for yourself is to get a head start, and have the tools to succeed.”

The Bryant Pep Band is always looking for new members for any instrument!
