CLOSE CALL BUT BULLDOGS PUSH THROUGH

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Men’s Rugby team hosted Plymouth State University this past weekend on 10/26. It was an intense game with perfect conditions for a Bulldog win. It was a close game with Bryant only coming in with 5 points above the Panthers. 

Final Score  

• Bryant: 26 

• Plymouth State: 21  

Game Info  

• Plymouth took the early lead 

• The Bulldogs were trailing until they put on defensive pressure and held Plymouth within their 22 meters 

• Chris Fuentes scored 2 tries 

• Jack Veglas scored 2 tries 

• Jack Dakin blocked 2 punts and the defensive charge was led by junior Patrick Clifford who had 15 tackles. 

Highlights  

• The final try was scored by the Bulldogs on the last possession of the game
