WOMEN’S RUGBY CRUSHES BENTLEY; SENIORS CELEBRATE LAST HOME MATCH

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – This past Friday, October 19th the Bryant University Women’s Rugby team hosted the Bentley University Falcons here in their fifth match of the Fall 2019 season.

  • Brenna Rojek also completed 7 conversion kicks 

Highlights

  • For their last home game of the Fall 15s season, the Bulldogs honored their seniors and celebrated their achievements and dedication to the team 

  • Player of the Match was awarded to Jennifer Rosinski for her keen ability to spot openings and run into the ball, securing it for the Bulldogs 

  • Rookie of the Match was awarded to Caroline James for getting involved in many rucks 

  • Brenna Rojek received an honorable mention from coach Rosie Downey for running on, completing forward-back plays, and tipping 

  • Judy Duong suffered an injury to her knee during the match 

  • All of the players had a great game, with everyone finding holes in the opponent’s defense 

  • The Bulldogs’ former assistant coach, Mike Ducey, returned to show his support for the team 

  • All seniors participated in their last home match as Bulldogs
