PRE-SEASON TOURNAMENT SHOWS GREAT POTENTIAL FOR BULLDOGS THIS SEASON
SMITHFIELD, R.I.—On Sunday November 18, the Men’s Club Volleyball team had a pre-season tournament with a variety of competitors, including: Boston University, the University of Rhode Island, an alumni team from URI, and a high school club team. The team recently lost five seniors and only had three returning starters. They had two freshman starters this past weekend and overall had a good weekend for their first pre-season tournament!

First game against BU (a D1 competitive team) the team played well, but lost both sets by just a few points

The team faced URI in the second match and took both of those sets 26-24

The third set was against a URI alumni team that was dominate throughout the day--they continued with this level of playing against the Bryant Men’s team resulting in two lost sets

Last opponent of the day was a high school club team which resulted in a split with them winning a set and the Bulldogs winning a set as well
