Wright named All-New England

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University football senior Tomas Wright (St. Augustine, Fla.) has been named to the 2019 New England Football Writers University Division All-New England team.

The All-New England team is comprised of student-athletes from all of New England's FBS and FCS schools. Wright is one of seven players from the Northeast Conference on the list. Bryant has now had 18 All-New England selections and at least one in each of its 12 years at the Division I level.

Wright wrapped up an outstanding Bryant career this fall, posting a career-high 71 tackles to go along with 9.0 sacks and 16.5 TFLs. He earned All-NEC First Team honors for a second-straight season and became Bryant's all-time leader in career sacks with 30.5. Wright is one of just three players in NEC history with 30+ career sacks and led all defensive linemen in tackles this fall.
