Football Season Preview: Wide Receivers

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University football team will rely on a deep and talented group of receivers, led by senior David Zorrilla, this fall.

Today's wide receivers preview is the third of eight positional previews as the Black and Gold get set to kickoff the 2021 season on Sept. 4 at Rhode Island.

Quick Outlook

Senior David Zorrilla returns as the elder statesman of a talented group of wideouts. Zorrilla led the Bulldogs with 11 catches for 98 yards and a touchdown in an abbreviated spring and is primed to make another jump this fall. He's caught 39 passes in his career, averaging 10.1 yards per catch.

Zorrilla will be joined by a group of receivers that include juniors Anthony Frederick, Matthew Prochaska and Psaveon Reaves. Frederick enjoyed one of the best freshman seasons for a receiver in program history in 2019, catching 32 passes for a team-high 451 yards. Prochaska and Reaves combined to catch 12 passes in the spring and give the Bulldogs some explosiveness in the open field.
