Four from football named Preseason All-Big South by The Bluebloods

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bluebloods, a college football podcast, announced its Preseason All-Big South team earlier this summer. Four members of the Bryant Football team were named to the teams.

Zevi Eckhaus and Fabrice Mukendi were named to the preseason team on offense, while Kenny Dyson Jr. and Joe Andreessen were named to the defensive team.

Eckhaus threw for 2,392 yards and 21 touchdowns on his way to NEC Offensive Rookie of the Year honors last fall. He finished with 24 total touchdowns and was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award.

Mukendi also enjoyed a breakout rookie season, setting program records for rushing yards and rushing touchdowns by a true freshman. He finished with 652 yards and nine scores.

Dyson Jr. led the Black and Gold in tackles for loss and sacks a season ago, posting 12 TFLs and seven sacks.

Andreessen has earned All-NEC First Team honors in each of the last two years and is coming off a season in which he posted 80 tackles, 8.0 TFLs and three interceptions.

The Bulldogs open the 2022 season on Sept. 1 at FIU.
