Jacob Pardonnet joined the football coaching staff in August of 2019. He enters his third season with the program in the fall of 2021 and is working with the strong safeties. 

Pardonnet was a part of a defensive staff that helped the Bulldogs lead the nation in total defense in 2021. The Bulldogs allowed just 220.8 yards per game and also ranked fourth nationally in scoring defense (14.5). 

Pardonnet enjoyed a standout career at Hope College where he was a three-year starter, a captain and a two-time All-MIAA selection. He finished his career with 189 tackles, 7.5 sacks and 21 tackles for a loss in his career. 

Following the completion of his playing career, Pardonnet served as a student assistant at Hope, working with the defensive backs and safeties. 

Pardonnet earned a degree in Economics and Business Management.
