SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant football team, in conjunction with CAA Football, announced its game times for the upcoming 2024 season on Friday morning. Bryant will play 12 total games this fall, with six set for Beirne Stadium.
Bryant Football welcomes 28 during signing periods

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant football head coach Chris Merritt is excited to announce the signing of 28 student-athletes during the two signing periods. The group includes 17 that will make up Class of 2028 and will join the Black and Gold in the fall, while 11 come to Smithfield as mid-year transfers.

Dyson named to All-ECAC Defensive Team

DANBURY, CONN. - Kenny Dyson Jr. of the Bryant University football team was named to the All-ECAC Defensive team. Dyson was the only member of the Bulldogs to make a team. This year, Dyson has also been named to the All-Big South-OVC and All-New England teams.

Eckhaus named Big South-OVC Offensive Player of the Year, ten named to All-Conference Teams

BRENTWOOD, TENN. - Zevi Eckhaus of the Bryant University football team was named the Big South-OVC Offensive Player of the Year. Eckhaus, Ahmad Assad, and Kenny Dyson Jr. were named to the First-Team All-Conference. Matthew Prochaska, Anthony Frederick, Konor Lathrop, Jamichael Watts. Michael Otty and Lake Ellis were all named to the Second-Team All-conference. Darnell Shillingford was named to the All-Academic team.
Eckhaus named FCS and Big South-OVC Offensive Player of the Week

BRENTWOOD, TENN. - Zevi Eckhaus of the Bryant University football team was named the FCS Offensive Player of the Week and the Big South-OVC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday morning by the organizations. Eckhaus dominated on Saturday, throwing six touchdowns for 394 yards with a completion percentage of 78.6% (22-28).
Bryant dominates SEMO on Senior Day

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University football team took down Southeast Missouri State 45-21 to grab the senior day victory and close the season. Eckhaus tied the program record for passing TDs in a game (6) and a season with 28. He threw for a total of 394 yards. Anthony Frederick tallied 118 yards and a score, while Matthew Prochaska had 110 yards and a score. Jalen Powell recorded 76 yards and a touchdown, and Konor Lathrop hauled in his sixth touchdown of the season. Kenny Dyson Jr. had two sacks and a forced fumble, while Christopher Eaton Jr. also recorded a forced fumble.

Eckhaus, Frederick lift Bryant past Lindenwood, 38-3, on Saturday

ST. CHARLES, MO. - The Bryant University football team defeated Lindenwood 38-3 in the road victory on Saturday. Eckhaus threw for 367 yards and four TDs. Anthony Frederick caught three of those touchdowns and added eight catches for 131 yards. Jalen Powell recorded a receiving TD, and Matthew Prochaska had seven catches for 82 yards. Olatunde Mkparu and Sean Hunt tallied an interception, and Chris Eaton Jr. forced a fumble. Dontae Lunan, Kenny Dyson Jr., and Beau Shugarts registered a sack.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University football team falls to Gardner-Webb at home in an overtime thriller by a score of 45-44. Zevi Eckhaus became the all-time leading passer in program history as he threw for 338 yards and four scores. Matthew Prochaska tallied a career-high nine catches for 149 yards. Jallen Powell had 75 yards and scored. Anthony Frederick and Konpr Lathrup both caught receiving TDs. Defensively, Robert Crockett III had a pick-six, Michael Otty tallied 2.5 TFLs, a sack, and a forced fumble. Hollis Dirstine posted his first career sack, and Dontae Lunan registered 1.5 TFLs and a FF. Jayvis Rayside also tallied a forced fumble.

Bulldogs have wire to wire road win against Charleston Southern

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Bryant University football team dominated Charleston Southern during the 47-24 road win. Zevi Eckhaus threw for 368 yards and four touchdowns. Fabrice Mukendi had his second straight multi-TD game. Konor Lathrop, Marc Taglieri Jr., Simi Bakare, and Anthony Frederick caught a touchdown pass. Landon Ruggieri led the way with 97 yards receiving. Defensively, Lake Eills hauled in an interception for the third straight game. Kenny Dyson Jr. had a pick, the first since 2021, and the Bulldogs defense had three takeaways for the third time this season. Michael Otty had the only sack of the game.
