Bryant travels to Holy Cross for midweek tilt
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University field hockey team takes the short trip to Holy Cross on Tuesday for its first midweek match of the season. The game is set for 4 p.m. at the Hart Turf Field.

SERIES HISTORY
- The two teams have met eight times in program history, and the Bulldogs hold the series record, 5-3.
- The last time Bryant met with Holy Cross was in 2016 in Worcester. The Crusaders took the last meeting, 3-1.
A BIT ABOUT THE CRUSADERS
- Holy Cross posts a 2-4 overall record after falling to Lafayette, 8-0, over the weekend.
- Senior Lexi Tilton leads the Crusaders with three goals on the season. All three of her goals came in Holy Cross's 4-1 win over Merrimack.
- Marcia LaPlante is the main goalkeeper for Holy Cross posting 56 saves and a save percentage of .800. LaPlante has let just 14 slip past her as she tallies a 2.33 goals-against average so far for the season. LaPlante's save percentage and saves per game (8.40) rank her first in the Patriot League and among the top ten in the country.
- Lindsay Jackson leads the Crusaders in her fifth season as head coach.
BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES
- Freshman Isa Oldekamp (Rotterdam, Netherlands) ranks second in the Northeast Conference for her defensive save efforts with three so far on the year.
- Oldekamp and sophomore Eva Bazen (The Hague, Netherlands) netted the first goals of the year for the Black and Gold on Friday against Hofstra.
- The Bulldogs fell to Hofstra in a shootout marking the first time the Black and Gold has seen a shootout since 2016 against Dartmouth.
- Bryant forced No. 20 Albany to one of its lowest-scoring games of the year in a 1-0 loss on Sunday.
