de Vries adds three to class of 2024

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Head coach Joppe de Vries of the Bryant University field hockey team has announced the new signing class of 2024. 

Anna Beck – Midfield | Attleboro, Mass. | Attleboro
Before Bryant
A four-year varsity letter winner in field hockey and track and field at Attleboro High School … Led her high school field hockey team in scoring as a junior and senior … Earned League MVP during her junior and senior seasons … Led her team to the second round of playoffs as a senior … Plays club field hockey for Allegiance Field Hockey Club … Intends to major in Management.

A four-year varsity letter winner in field hockey and lacrosse at Messalonskee High School … Member of the All-Rookie Team in 2016 … Named League Honorable Mention as a junior and senior … Named team MVP and earned First Team All-State as a senior … Helped her team to an Eastern Maine Championship as a freshman … Member of the Civil Rights Team, JMG Leadership Team, Gold Ribbon Group, and Choir ... Will enter Bryant as Undecided.

Ashley Barron – Forward | Longmeadow, Mass. | Longmeadow
Before Bryant
A four-year varsity letter winner in field hockey and ice hockey at Longmeadow High School … Helped her high school team to four consecutive League and Western Massachusetts Championship Titles, as well as helping her team be named Division I State Finalists in 2016, 2017, and 2019 … Earned All-Conference First Team honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior … Named to the MassLive "Super 7" … Played club field hockey for Worcester United … Member of Key Club and SADD … Intends to major in Marketing.

Daughter of Pamela Williams and John Barron … Has one brother, Jack … Father, John played ice hockey at Merrimack College and brother, Jack currently plays lacrosse at Merrimack.
