Demand, Barron earn NEC weekly honors

SOMERSET, N.J. – Bryant University field hockey senior Madison Demand and freshman Ashley Barron earned Northeast Conference weekly honors on Friday.

Demand was named the NEC Player of the Week and Barron picked up NEC Co-Rookie of the Week honors.

In Bryant's 4-3 win over Merrimack, Demand registered a career-high three points with a goal and an assist. She scored with one second remaining in the first quarter and then assisted on the second goal.

Barron recorded her first-career goal for the Bulldogs on Monday.
