Bulldogs to participate in 2017 Gotham Classic, set to take on Louisville, Memphis as part of five-team field

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After last appearing in the field in 2013, the Bryant University men’s basketball team will return to the Gotham Classic in 2017-18 and will take on national powers Louisville and Memphis as part of the five-team tournament that stretches through December.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After leading the Northeast Conference in scoring, Bryant University sophomore guard Nisre Zouzoua (Brockton, Mass.) has been named to the USBWA All-District I Team and the All-ECAC Second Team.

LORETTO, Pa. – All-NEC First Team sophomore Nisre Zouzoua (Brockton, Mass.) led the fifth-seeded Bryant University men’s basketball team with 22 points, but the hot shooting of Isaiah Blackmon and fourth-seeded Saint Francis U. was too much for the Bulldogs, who fell, 100-78, at DeGol Arena in the 2017 NEC Quarterfinals Wednesday night.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The league’s top scorer and top scoring rookie were recognized for their season-long efforts Tuesday, as the Northeast Conference’s top-scoring duo of Bryant sophomore sharpshooter Nisre Zouzoua (Brockton, Mass.) and rookie guard Adam Grant (Franklin, Va.) were respectively named to the All-NEC First Team and NEC All-Rookie Team.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Sophomore Nisre Zouzoua (Brockton, Mass.) scored a game-high 27 points to become the 36th player in program history to record 1,000 career points as the Bryant University men’s basketball team wrapped up the 2017 regular season with a convincing 91-77 victory over Central Connecticut on Saturday afternoon at the Chace Athletic Center.
