Kai Kostmayer signs with Bryant

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's basketball coach Jared Grasso has announced the signing of Kai Kostmayer (Southbury, Conn.) to the Bulldog program.

Kostmayer joins the Bulldogs after a postgraduate year at Gould Academy in Maine, where he averaged 30 points per game while adding an average of 10 rebounds per contest. The 6-8 forward continued his NEPSAC career after playing his junior and senior years at the Taft School in Connecticut and played for NE6 of the Under Armour Association.

"We are very excited to add Kai Kostmayer to our program," said Grasso. Kai is a skilled 6-8 forward who can score in a variety of ways. His toughness and passion make him a great fit for what we are looking to build."

Kostmayer adds to a nine-member signing class for Grasso's third season in Smithfield, joining Erickson Bans (Pawtucket, R.I.), Chris Childs (Bronx, N.Y.), Melo Eggleston (Suitland, Md.), Darius Guinn (Portland, Ore.), Luis Hurtado Jr. (Merida, Venezuela), Peter Kiss (New York, N.Y.), Joe Moon IV (Westland, Mich.) and Luke Sutherland (Syracuse, N.Y.).
