Bryant to face Syracuse on November 27

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team announced it will face Syracuse in the Carrier Dome on November 27 as part of its 2020-21 non-conference schedule.

Tip-off time has not been announced and no fans will be permitted.

Bryant and Syracuse will be meeting for the first time in an official game, having squared off in an exhibition game on Nov. 1, 2006. Senior Chris Burns scored 33 points in an 92-86 setback against the No. 20 ranked Orange.

The Bulldogs' trip to Syracuse this year will be a homecoming for sophomores Charles Pride and Luke Sutherland. Both grew up in Syracuse and helped their respective high schools win state championships in back-to-back seasons. Pride led Liverpool to the 2018 New York State Class AA state title and Sutherland guided West Genesee to the 2019 Class AA title.

It was a joyous occasion during Bryant's last trip to the Carrier Dome, as the men's lacrosse team defeated Syracuse, 10-9, in the first round of the 2014 NCAA Championships.
