Bulldogs announce additions of Calixte, Eleeda

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's basketball head coach Jared Grasso has announced the addition of Greg Calixte and Adham Eleeda for the 2021-22 season.

Calixte will graduate from George Mason in May and join the Bulldogs as a grad transfer for next season. A 6-8 forward from Mount Vernon, N.Y., Calixte appeared in 111 games and made 38 starts for the Patriots. Calixte started 22 games as a true freshman in 2017-18 and finished his Mason career averaging 3.8 points per game and 3.4 rebounds per game. He made 60 percent of his shots at Mason, leading the Patriots in field goal percentage in three of his four seasons.

"Greg is a physical front-court player," Grasso said. "He has a tremendous motor and has the ability to score on the block. Greg played for legendary high school coach Bob Cimmini at Mount Vernon. He was a captain at both Mount Vernon and George Mason and we look forward to adding his maturity and veteran leadership to our group."

Eleeda joins the Black and Gold as a grad transfer after spending the last two seasons at Northern Kentucky. He 45 games across two seasons with the Norse, starting in 14 of 20 games this past season. Eleeda 4.1 ppg and 2.3 rpg in two seasons, finishing the 20-21 season 31-of-87 (.356) from beyond the arc. Prior to Northern Kentucky, Eleeda ranked third nationally in NJCAA Division I with 129 made threes while at Sheridan College.

"Adham is an elite shooter with good size," Grasso said. "He started on a very good Northern Kentucky team this past season. Adham has the ability to play multiple positions and we are very excited about the versatility he will bring."

Calixte and Eleeda become the first two members of the Bulldogs' 2021 signing class.
