Bryant faces Stony Brook Saturday night on SNY

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team heads to Long Island on Saturday to face America East preseason favorite Stony Brook. Tip is set for 6:31 p.m.

Saturday's game will be carried on SNY and streamed on ESPN3.

THE SERIES
Bryant and Stony Brook will meet for the second-straight year. The Bulldogs won the the first Division I meeting between the two programs last December, 81-72, in Smithfield. Bryant trailed the game 41-37 at the half before coming back to win. Charles Pride scored 16 points, dished out eight assists and had seven rebounds in the victory. 

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Bryant improved to 2-1 at home this year with a 76-59 victory over New Hampshire on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs posted their best field goal percentage of the year (50.9), going 30-of-59 from the field.     
  2. Charles Pride posted his third double-double of the year and the ninth of his career on Wednesday. He also moved into Bryant's top 10 for Division I career rebounds with 372.     
  3. Hall Elisias has blocked 34 shots this season and enters the week ranked ninth nationally with 3.4 blocks per game. Elisias has blocked 199 career shots in his four seasons at NCAA schools.  
  4. Peter Kiss recorded his first double-double of the year on Wednesday with 23 pts and 10 rebounds. He has scored in double-figures in 27 of his 30 games as a Bulldog.       
  5. Jared Grasso is 44-50 in his first three-plus seasons at Bryant. The Bulldogs have won 15 games in each of the last two seasons, just the second time they've accomplished that feat at the Division I level. A Syosset, N.Y., native, Grasso will be coaching just 30 miles from his childhood hometown.
