Bryant opens homestand Sunday afternoon vs St. Francis Brooklyn

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team opens a three-game homestand on Sunday afternoon when it welcomes St. Francis Brooklyn to the Chace Athletic Center. Tip is set for 1:00 p.m.

Tickets for Sunday's game can be purchased at BryantBulldogs.com/tickets. This week, fans can purchase tickets to all three games of the homestand for just $35 with the Bulldogs for Three promotion. It includes Sunday, Thursday's game vs Merrimack and Saturday's showdown with Long Island on CBS Sports Network.

THE SERIES
Bryant and St. Francis Brooklyn will be meeting for the 24th time in program history on Sunday. The Terriers own a 13-10 lead in the series, but the Black and Gold are 8-3 against SFC at the Chace Athletic Center. The Bulldogs and Terriers split their two-game series in Brooklyn last December, with the Black and Gold earning a 101-82 victory. Chris Childs hit 10-of-17 from three in the two games.          

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Bryant is now 6-1 in NEC play following Friday's 79-63 victory over Merrimack. The Bulldogs have won three-straight games and are 6-1 for the just the second time in program history. Bryant started 6-0 in 2012-13 before losing back-to-back games and eventually starting 9-2. The 2013-14 team started 6-2 and eventually got to 8-2 in the league standings.  
  2. Peter Kiss posted his seventh 20-point scoring outing of the season on Friday night, finishing with 27. He now ranks sixth nationally and first in the NEC with 21.6 ppg. In league play, Kiss is averaging 24.7 ppg and has scored 20+ points in 11 of the 20 NEC regular season games he's played in his career.  
  3. Charles Pride is averaging 17.0 ppg and 9.5 rpg during NEC play this season following a 19-point, 16-rebound effort at Merrimack. The 16 rebounds were one shy of his career high and give him 8.1 per game on the year, second in the NEC.    
  4. Pride and Hall Elisias are inching towards milestones. Pride needs just two points to become only the fifth player in DI program history with 800 career points and 400 rebounds. Speaking of boards, Pride and Elisias enter Sunday tied for fifth in DI program histoy with 435 rebounds. They are just four rebounds shy of moving into fourth place in DI program history. 
  5. Bryant is 5-1 at home this season and 15-2 at home over the last two years. Under Jared Grasso, Bryant is 32-13 overall and 20-8 in NEC regular-season home games.
