Bryant set to face Detroit Mercy Monday in Florida

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team closes out its Florida trip Monday afternoon against Detroit Mercy. Tip is set for 12:00 p.m. at Florida Atlantic. 

Monday's game will be streamed on FloHoops.

Bryant and Detroit Mercy are meeting for the first time in program history. 

PRIDE ON VERGE OF HISTORY
Charles Pride enters Monday just nine assists shy of becoming the first player in DI program history to record 1,000pts/500reb/200ast in a career. On Saturday, Pride passed Frankie Dobbs and moved into fourth place on the DI scoring list with 1,176 points. 

TIMBERLAKE NOTCHES SECOND DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Earl Timberlake posted his second double-double of the season on Saturday at FIU, posting 17 points and 13 rebounds. He also added six assists, tying a career-high, and two blocks. Timberlake is now averaging a double-double on the year.                  

FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Bryant enters Monday with a 3-1 record on the season. The Bulldogs are 1-1 during their Florida trip and Monday's game will mark the conclusion of the Paradise Invitational. 
  2. Bryant currently ranks second in the nation in temp according to KenPom.com. The Bulldogs are averaging 77.4 possesions per game, which is just behind Arizona's 77.5.
  3. Sherif Gross-Bullock enters Monday averaging 18.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg and 4.1 apg. He picked up five boards and six assists on Saturday night. 
  4. Earl Timberlake enters Monday averaging a double-double with 15.0 ppg and 10.3 rpg. 
  5. Antwan Walker has posted back-to-back season-high scoring performances on the Florida trip, posting 13 and 18. He is averaging 15.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg in two games in Florida.
