THE SERIES
Bryant and Syracuse are meeting for the second time in three seasons. The Orange held on for an 85-84 victory as the Bulldogs missed a game-winning shot at the buzzer in the 2020 season opener. Charles Pride scored 15 points and had seven rebounds for the Black and Gold.

HOMECOMING FOR PRIDE
Charles Pride will get a second chance at a homecoming this Saturday when the Syracuse native faces the Orange. Pride helped Liverpool High win a New York State title in 2018 and played at the Dome in 2020, but there were no fans due to the pandemic. This Saturday, Pride will get the chance to play in front of friends and family in his hometown.

PRIDE NAMED TO TWO WATCH LISTS
Pride has been named to a pair of national watch lists this season. Prior to the year, he became the first player in school history to be named to the Jerry West Award Watch List, given annually to the top shooting guard in college basketball. On Tuesday, he was named to the Lou Henson Award Watch List, given annually to the top player in mid-major college basketball.

WALKER SHINES IN FLA
Antwan Walker celebrated his birthday on Nov. 16, the day the Bulldogs arrived in Florida. Over the next five days, Walker had a birthday bash, averaging 14.7 ppg and 7.7 rpg in Bryant's three contests in Florida. He had 13 points and six rebounds against FAU on Thursday and then poured in 18 points in 18 minutes of action against FIU. Walker closed the trip with his first double-double as a Bulldog, finishing with 13 and 10 in a win over Detroit Mercy.
