Bryant places 11th at Lehigh Valley Invitational

HELLERTOWN, Pa. – Junior Ryan Brown (Bedford, N.H.) recorded a top-25 result with a second-round 74 as the Bryant University men's golf team placed 11th Sunday at the Abarta Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley College Invitational, played at The Steel Club.

Brown carded a 76 in the first round and a 74 in the second for a 150 (+6), good for 22nd in the field of 96 golfers.

The schedule was adjusted to play all 36 holes Sunday due to impending inclement weather Monday,

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Brown shot a first-round 76 and second-round 74, with the second-round performance helped by a one-under back nine.
  • Graduate student John Roberts (West Hartford, Conn.) shot an 80 the first time through and a 74 in the second round to finish tied for 47th.
  • Junior Jake Ratti (Hanover, Mass.) tied with Roberts at 47th, as Ratti posted a 76 and 78 in the day's two rounds.
  • Sophomore Connor Henderson (Southborough, Mass.) finished 53rd with a 75 and 80 in the two rounds, while sophomore Matthew Stafford (Suffield, Conn.) recorded a 77 and 80 to finish 63rd.
  • Sophomore Andrew Warfield (Southborough, Mass.) placed tied with Henderson for 53rd while competing as an individual. Warfield carded a 77 and 78 on the day.
