Towson Invitational up next for Bulldogs

GRASONVILLE, Md. – The Bryant University golf team returns to action Saturday and Sunday at the Towson Invitational, hosted by Towson at Prospect Bay Country Club.

The Bulldogs will play 18 holes Saturday and 18 more Sunday in the third of four spring tournaments to prepare for the Northeast Conference Championship at the end of April.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Bryant was last in action Sunday at the Abarta Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Invitational, placing 11th out of 17 competing teams.
  • Junior Ryan Brown (Bedford, N.H.) led the Bulldogs with a 22nd place finish, as Brown carded a 74 and 76 in the day's two rounds.
  • Graduate student John Roberts (West Hartford, Conn.) and junior Jake Ratti (Hanover, Mass.) were both +10 for the 36-hole event. Roberts shot a 74 in the second round.
  • Bryant placed third at the season-opening Lonnie Barton Invitational in Florida, with sophomore Connor Henderson (Southborough, Mass.) recording a 75 in both rounds for a top-10 finish. Roberts and sophomore Matthew Stafford (Suffield, Conn.) finished tied for 12th in the tournament at the site of this year's NEC Championship.

Bryant will play its lone spring tournament in the Ocean State with the Rhode Island Invitational April 16-17 at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown.
