Bryant begins play in New Hampshire at the Dartmouth Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. – After finishing play at the Hartford Hawk Invitational on Tuesday, the Bryant University men's golf team is back at it again in Hanover, N.H. at the Dartmouth Invitational Saturday and Sunday.

The 22-year-old tournament will begin play with 18 holes on Saturday, followed by 18 holes of play on Sunday. The 12-team field will play on the par 71, Hanover Country Club course. Bryant tees off beginning at 12:02 p.m. with Mario Wilson (Taunton, Mass.) playing as the individual. The starting five will begin right after at 12:10 p.m.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • The Bulldogs are coming off an 11th place finish at the Hartford Hawks Invitational. Bryant finished with a three-round total of 39-over par 903.
  • Junior Nick Piersall (Portland, Conn.) was the team's top finisher, ending in a tie for 22nd place with a 2-over par 218. This was Piersall's second Top-25 finish in a row. He finished tied for 17th place at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate earlier this month.
  • Piersall will be leading the Bulldogs' starting five followed by seniors Matthew Stafford (Suffield, Conn.) and Connor Henderson (Southborough, Mass.), sophomore Tyler Hahn (Avon, Conn.) and freshman Jonah Klaasen (Westlake Village, Calif.).
  • Piersall leads the team in scoring, averaging a 73 per round and a +1.00 average vs. par.
  • Hahn comes in second in the Bulldogs' stats and after two fall tournaments he owns a 75.7 average per round and a +3.20 average vs. par.
  • Bryant has seen three teams in the field at previous tournaments this fall; Fordham, Harvard and Holy Cross. The Bulldogs defeated Fordham in both tournaments but finished behind Harvard and Holy Cross at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate.
