Stafford finishes top 10 and helps Bulldogs finish 8th at Lonnie Barton
Daytona Beach, Fla. – Senior Matthew Stafford (Suffield, Conn.) of the Bryant University men's golf team finishes in the top 10 after shooting a 1 over 73 in the final round leading the Bulldogs to an eighth-place finish at the Lonnie Barton Invitational on Tuesday.

"Matthew Stafford and Jack Woods shoot 73 and Nick Piersall shot 74 all three played solid today. Looking forward to building on the first tournament of the spring."
How It Happened
- Stafford posted a 1 over par 73 in his final round today. This gives him a two-day total of 148 and he finishes tied for seventh on the leaderboard. Stafford started the day tied for 11th place.
- Freshman Jack Woods (Danbury, Conn.) who is competing as an individual also shot a 1 over 73 bringing his total to 154, which placed him 30th on the leaderboard. He came into today tied for 54th.
- Junior Nick Piersall (Portland, Conn.) shot a 2 over 74 and ended the tournament with a combined total of 153, which places him tied for twenty-fourth overall. Piersall started his round tied for 40th place.
- After 36 holes The Bulldogs placed eighth at the Lonnie Barton with a team total of 611.
- The Black and Gold made a total of eight birdies on the final day of the tournament.
