US LACROSSE TABS 2010 U.S. MEN'S NATIONAL TRAINING TEAM

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- US Lacrosse announced Wednesday the 40 players who have qualified for the 2010 U.S. men's national training team following a three-day tryout at Bryant University. All 40 players, tabbed by a 14-member player selection committee, advance with an opportunity to compete in the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championship in Manchester, England from July 10-24, 2010. Bryant head coach Mike Pressler will serve as head coach for Team USA.

The career of the most prolific goal scorer in college men's lacrosse history didn't end under the bright lights of the NCAA tournament, nor under the watchful eye of a nationally televised audience. Exactly 372 fans took in Bryant University's 13-3 victory over Holy Cross last Wednesday in Smithfield, R.I., a day that marked the end of Zack Greer's scintillating career as a college attackman.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – A goal and two assists were all Bryant University men’s lacrosse senior Zack Greer (Whitby, Ont.) needed to match the NCAA Division I all-time points scored record, and that’s exactly what he did Wednesday night as the Bulldogs took a 13-3 win over Holy Cross in their 2009 season finale at the Bryant Turf Complex.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University men's lacrosse team has already achieved its top team goal (a winning season), earned votes in both national polls (receiving a pair this week from the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll) and impressed the likes of Division I coaches across the country. But Wednesday night at the Turf Complex, in Bryant's season finale and 2009 Senior Night against Holy Cross, the Bulldogs will look to reach another plateau in their inaugural Division I season - earning double-digit wins with their 10th victory of the year.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Led by four goals apiece from captains Zack Greer (Whitby, Ont.) and Kevin Hoagland (Glastonbury, Conn.), the Bryant University men's lacrosse team earned its ninth win of the season with a 14-4 victory over Bellarmine University at Bulldog Stadium Saturday afternoon.
