Coffey named Senior CLASS Award candidate

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Bryant University men's lacrosse senior Zach Coffey (West Newbury, Mass.) has been selected as one of 20 candidates nationally for the Senior CLASS Award, as announced Friday.

Coffey, a senior finance major, is a two-time All-NEC selection as one of the Bulldogs' primary long-stick midfielders. He has played in 41 career games entering Saturday, recording 67 ground balls, 31 caused turnovers and 11 goals. Coffey scored six goals while collecting 34 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers as a first team all-conference honoree in 2019.

To be eligible for the Senior CLASS Award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition. The Bulldogs have had a candidate for the award in two of the last three seasons. Tom Kennedy was a finalist for the honor in 2018.

Bryant returns to action Saturday when the Bulldogs face Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. The noon face-off can be seen on ESPN+.
