Abladian named NEC Rookie of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J. – Bryant University men's lacrosse freshman Bennett Abladian was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.

Abladian recorded his first-career hat trick and finished with four points to help the Bulldogs defeat Vermont, 15-12, on Saturday.

The Londonderry, N.H., native scored just before the horn sounded in the first quarter and helped Bryant take an 8-6 lead late in the second quarter with a goal and an assist.

In addition, Brody Rule was named an NEC Prime Performer. Rule collected five ground balls and caused four turnovers against the Catamounts.

Bryant opens NEC play this Saturday when it welcomes Merrimack to Beirne Stadium. Faceoff is set for 12:00 p.m.
