Three Bulldogs listed in IL Early Season Freshman Rankings

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The No. 20 Bryant University men's lacrosse team has received big contributions from its freshman class and the country is taking notice as three Bulldogs have been ranked in Inside Lacrosse's Top 25 Early Season Freshman Rankings.

Bryant's trio of Nathan Laliberte, Bennett Abladian and Jon Miller has helped spearhead the best start in Division I program history at 4-1. Laliberte was ranked No. 8, Abladian No. 15 and Miller No. 17. The full article can be accessed here.

Laliberte has shined in the faceoff X this spring, winning 63.5%. He's scooped up 31 ground balls and also potted a pair of goals on the season. Laliberte has won better than 50 percent of his faceoffs in all four games he's played in, including a season-best 69 percent against Stony Brook.

Abladian is currently second on the team in scoring with 16 points (9g, 7a). He's also posted seven ground balls. Abladian has recorded multiple points in each of his last four games and has three-straight games with at least four points. He currently ranks eighth nationally in freshmen scoring with 3.2 points per game.

Miller has played his best lacrosse over the last three games, registering a goal, two assists and 12 ground balls. He's also caused three turnovers and has helped the Black and Gold limit each of their last two opponents to less than 10 goals.

The Bulldogs return to the field this weekend when they travel to North Andover, Mass., to take on Merrimack. Bryant beat the Warriors, 20-8, on Mar. 6 in Smithfield.
