O'Rourke, Abladian earn NEC weekly honors

SOMERSET, N.J. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse duo of Marc O'Rourke and Bennett Abladian picked up Northeast Conference weekly honors on Tuesday afternoon.

O'Rourke was named NEC Co-Player of the Week, while Abladian earned NEC Rookie of the Week honors.

Playing in his first game of 2021, O'Rourke scored six goals and added an assist against Sacred Heart. O'Rourke has now scored six goals or more in each of his last three games dating back to last season. He is just three goals shy of 100 for his career.

Abladian notched a career-high four goals and added an assist on Saturday. After being held scoreless against Saint Joseph's Abladian posted his second-career hat trick and matched his season-high for points.

In addition, Logan McGovern and Jacob Alexander were named NEC Prime Performers. McGovern matched his career-high with eight points (2g, 6a), while Alexander won 16 faceoffs, scored twice and grabbed eight ground balls.
