Caracciolo named to USILA Team of the Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant University men's lacrosse goalie Luke Caracciolo was named to the USILA Team of the Week on Wednesday. 

Caracciolo earned Northeast Conference Tournament MVP honors after backstopping the Bulldogs to their sixth NEC title last weekend. After posting 17 saves in a victory over No. 2 seed Hobart in the semis, Caracciolo matched his career-high with 18 saves in the championship game at Saint Joseph's.

This marks Caracciolo's second appearance on the USILA Team of the Week, also earning recognition following a 16-save performance against Providence in the season opener. Caracciolo enters the NCAA Tournament with a 9-2 record, a 10.98 GAA and a .539 save percentage. 

Bryant faces No. 4 seed Virginia in the NCAA Championship First Round on Sunday, May 16 in Charlottesville, Va. Faceoff is set for 12:00 p.m. and the game will air on ESPNU.
