Bryant welcomes Dartmouth on Saturday at noon

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team welcomes Dartmouth to Beirne Stadium for its home opener on Saturday afternoon. Faceoff is set for 12:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant is 3-1 all-time against Dartmouth. The Bulldogs won the first three meetings between the teams before the Big Green earned an 11-8 victory in 2020.  

SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth dropped its season opener to Merrimack last week, 8-6. It was the Big Green's first game since the 2020 season. Daniel Hincks made 16 saves for Dartmouth, while Colin McGill had a goal and an assist in the loss. 

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • The Bulldogs enter the week 1-1 following a 13-8 loss at Boston University last Saturday. Bryant and BU were tied 8-8 in the third quarter but the Terriers were able to score the final five goals.
  • Bryant is led by Coach Mike Pressler, who enters his 16th season on the Smithfield sidelines. He's posted a career record of 146-97 at Bryant.
  • Bennett Abladian posted his second-straight hat trick at BU and leads the Black and Gold with six goals on the year. 
  • Timmy Hackett has also had a hot start to the year, posting three points in each of the first two games. He enters Saturday with 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points.
  • Jacob Alexander is 32-of-50 at the faceoff X and has a team-leading 23 ground balls.
