DaCosta earns All-NEC First Team honors

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Senior forward Alex DaCosta (Bristol, R.I.) of the Bryant University men's soccer team has been selected to the 2019 Northeast Conference All-Conference First Team.

DaCosta was the best offensive player for the Bulldogs this fall, leading the team in goals (6), assists (5), and points (17).  He played in 12 of the 15 games for coach Seamus Purcell and started all of the games that he played in. 

DaCosta had two separate two-goal games for the Bulldogs against Brown and Robert Morris. He also scored against UMass and Saint Francis U.  In addition to his scoring, DaCosta dished out three assists in one game against Siena. His five assists are the most in a single season in DI program history.

The Black and Gold will begin postseason play tomorrow against second-seeded LIU at the Stokes Soccerplex in Loretto, Pennsylvania.
