    SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Jack Bacon of the Bryant University men's soccer team is ranked second in the country in saves per game with a total of 6.43. Bacon is enjoying his best season wearing the Black and Gold as he is also ranked third in the Northeast Conference in saves (45), and tied for second in save percentage (.818).

    Smithfield, R.I. - Head Coach Seamus Purcell of the Bryant Univeristy men's soccer team will face off against his son Cian Purcell, who is a freshman midfielder that plays for the Univeristy of Rhode Island. The Bulldogs have a matchup with the University of Rhode Island on August 15th in a scrimmage hosted by the Black and Gold starting at 4:00 p.m. The scrimmage will take place on the Bulldog Soccer Field and is open to the public.

    Somerset, N.J. - The Bryant University men's soccer team has been selected to finish sixth in the Northeast Conference by the organization on Wednesday. St. Francis Brooklyn is in the top position with eight, first-place votes followed by Long Island, which received two votes. The rest of the poll consists of Saint Francis U, Merrimack, and Fairleigh Dickinson, who are tied for fourth, Bryant, Central Connecticut, Mount St. Mary's, Sacred Heart, and the newest member of the NEC Howard.
