Brandon and Baker score in win vs Merrimack

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Brooklyn Baker of the Bryant University men's soccer team recorded his first career goal as a Bulldog in the 2-0 win against Merrimack on Wednesday.

  • 75th minute - Bryant 1, Merrimack 0 - The Bulldogs started the break on the right side of the field and then sent a through ball to Nick Awada, who took the outside route of the field and then sent a pass to the left of the goal, which set up Baker for the touch goal with his right foot.
  • 79th minute - Bryant 2, Merrimack 0 - Keegan Reim corralled the free kick from David Medeiros and riffled a shot, which the Warriors goalie saved. This set up Barnaby Brandon, who on the rebound rocketed a shot into the net for the Black and Gold's second goal of the game.
