Bulldogs defeat BU Saturday
BOSTON, MA – The Bryant University men's swimming and diving team faced off against Boston University and the University of Connecticut on Saturday afternoon.
Bryant defeated Boston University with a score of 148- 146 and fell short to the University of Connecticut 178-119. The victory is Bryant's first-ever over the Terriers.

"So proud of our men. They deserve a huge win like that. They train hard and race even harder. Great group of men that deserve great things."
Notes and Notables
- Bryant started the meet with a second place finish in the 200 medley relay. Matthew Mays (St. Croix, Virgin Islands), FuKang Wong (Johor. Malaysia), Zach Digiaro (Middletown, N.J.), and Andrew Allen (Bedford, N.H.) finished with a time of 1:32.81.
- Mays placed first in three events- the 100 backstroke (50.76), the 200 backstroke (1:50.57), and the 200 individual medley (1:55.09).
- Wong similarly had a good meet. He captured victories in the 100 breaststroke (54.360) and the 200 breaststroke (2:01.92)
- Trevor Hazlewood (Corpus Christi, Texas) brought home a first-place finish in the 1-meter dive with a final score of 280.
- Bryant completed the event with a first place triumph in the 400 freestyle relay. Wong, Dom Scifo (Ipswich, Great Britain), Matthew Mastroianni (Glastonbury, Conn.), and Allen finished with a time of 3:07.80.

The Bulldogs will travel to Burlington, Vt. to face the University of Vermont next Saturday the 16th.
