Bulldogs win Three medals at Day 3 of the MAACs

Buffalo, N.Y. – The Bryant University men's swimming and diving team are in third place after Day 3 of the MAAC Championships with 314 points.

Rider University is in first place with 479.5 points.

 

Coach Bourassa's Comments:

"The men had another amazing night. We had contributions from every class in every event and ended the night with huge wins in the 100 breast and the 400 Medley Relay. We feel confident going into Day 4 that we will continue to shatter lifetime beast and to make our presence known in the MAAC. Go Bulldogs!! 

 Notes and Notables

  • FuKang Wong (Johor, Malaysia) capped off his season-long dominance of the breaststroke with a win (53.40) in the 100 breast. He also set a new MAAC and school record.
  • The Bulldogs stayed on the podium with a second-place finish in the 100 backstroke by Matthew Mays (St. Croix, Virgin Islands), he finished with a time of 47.88.
  • Bryant ended the meet with a clear cut finish in the 400 medley relay. The team of Mays, Wong, Zach DiGiaro (Middletown, N.J.), and Andrew Allen (Bedford, N.H.) won the event with a time of 3:15.25.
