Black and Gold bring in 8 commits from men's Class of 2024

Smithfield, R.I. – The Bryant University swimming and diving team is adding eight men in the Black and Golds class of 2024.

The class of 2024 includes three swimmers from the tristate area, three swimmers from New England, one swimmer from the mid-west, and one swimmer form the south.

Kyle Brown – Freestyle | South Windsor, Conn. | South Windsor High School
Swam for the West Hartford Aquatic Team from 2009-2020… Holds the Connecticut State records in the 200 Free (1:41.00), 500 Free (4:32.56), and the 400 IM where he finished with a time of 4:03.57… In total as a member of the West Hartford State Hawks, he set 11 state records, and won over 20 individual state championship titles… Made the honor roll all four years in high school… Was named to the high honor roll for two years and was an Academic All-American for two years.
Personal: Son of Kristen and Keith Brown… Has one sister.

Calvin Groenewold – Breaststroke | Lombard, Ill. | Timothy Christian
A four-year letter winner at Timothy Christian… Finished 11th in the 100 Breast at the IHSA Championships… Made first-team All-State and posted top times of 57.88 and 2:07.01 in the 100 and 200 Breast… As a member of the FMC Aquatics Club team, he recorded the seventh-best time in the state in the 200 Breast (2:07.01).
Personal: Son of Jennifer and Ken Groenwold… Has one sister.

Charles Keen – Free/Fly | South Windsor, Conn. | South Windsor High School
Four-year varsity swimmer at South Windsor High School… Made the All-Conference team in four events… Placed sixth at the State Championships his junior year… Was named team captain his senior year… Received the school-wide sportsmanship award… Recorded top times of 52.08 and 56.12 in the 100 Free and 100 Fly… Honor Roll student.
Personal: Son of Louis and Jackie Keen.

Aaron Khodarkovsky – Freestyle | Wayne, N.J. | Wayne Hills
Four-year letter winner for the Wayne Hills Patriots… Posted top times of 4:47 (500 Free), 1:46 (200 Free), and 49.0 in the 100 Free… During his tenure, Khodarkovsky set five school records and was a four-time winner of the Passaic County Championship in the 200 and 500 Free… He also was named to the Passaic All-County team three years in a row and was All-Big North conference two years in a row… Member of the National Honors Society.
Personal: Son of Jane Sungurov… Has one brother.

Chase Konstantakos – Freestyle | Hampden, Mass. | Minnechaug Regional High School
Swam varsity for four years at Minnechaug Regional High School… During his career, he set three school records and one Western Mass record… Won eight Western Mass individual titles and three state titles… As a member of the Bluefish Swim Club, he set a New England swim record and won the NE Senior Championships from 2018-2020.
Personal: Son of Peter and Wendy Konstantakos… Has one brother and two sisters.

Brandon Naylor – Fly/IM | Lynchburg, VA. | Brookville High School
Holds two records at Brookville High School… Was named the MVP his junior year… YMCA Nationals qualifier from 2016-2020… Posted top times of 1:52.45 (200 Fly), 51.24 (100 Fly), 4:07.56 (400 IM), and 1:56.79 (200 IM)… Member of the National Honors Society his junior and senior year.
Personal: Son of Debbie and Joe Naylor… Has two sisters.

Reese Stevenson – Free/Fly | Harvard, Mass. | Kimball Union Academy
A four-year letter winner at Kimball Union Academy… Was named the team captain two years in a row… Member of the Thoreau club team from 2011-2020… Won the coaches award or team MVP every year… Swam on the New England AAU team for two years… Made the academic and effort Honor Roll for three years at Kimball Union Academy.
Personal: Son of Rika and Will Stevenson… Has two brothers.

Matt Stanley – Breast/IM | Carolina, R.I. | Chariho High School
Set the Rhode Island state record in the 100 Breast with a time of 55.76… Three-time Interscholastic All-American… A four-time R.I state champion in the 100 Breast and a one-time R.I state champion in the 200 IM (1:52.11)… Made the Dean's list in both semesters at URI.
Personal: Son of Karrie and Brian Stanley… Has one sister.
