Swimming and Diving Sweep NEC Weekly Awards

SOMERSET, NJ- The Bryant swimming and diving teams completed a clean sweep of the NEC weekly awards, announced today by the conference. FuKang Wong won men's swimmer of the week for the first time this season, while Griffin Lajoie was named rookie of the week for the third time. Drew Arnold won diver of the week for the first time this season. Reagan Lord was named both swimmer and rookie of the week on the women's side, the fourth time she has accomplished the feat this season. No women's diver award was announced.

Wong swept both breaststroke events at UMass this weekend, hitting the wall at 56.51 in the 100 and 2:09.90 in the 200. He also won the 200 IM (1:56.99) and was part of the winning 200 medley relay team. Lord dominated in the 100 back with a time of 57.61, and also finished top four in the 200 back and 200 IM.

Lajoie came second to Matthew Mays in both backstroke events at UMass, finishing with times of 51.52 in the 100 and 1:53.45 in the 200. Arnold was Bryant's top diver, coming second in both the one meter (233.35) and three meter (190.13).

Erin Doruska, Natalia Kuipers, and Matthew Mays were also named NEC Prime Performers for their efforts at the UMass meet.
