Lajoie Leads Bulldogs in Season Opener at BC

CHESTNUT HILL/WORCESTER- The Bryant men's swimming and diving team placed third overall in the season-opening Boston College Invite on Saturday. The Bulldogs scored 499.5 total points to take third in a meet that included Massachusetts, Holy Cross, Providence, and the host Eagles.

Sophomore Griffin Lajoie paced the Bulldogs with first-place finishes in the 100 and 200 back. Fellow sophomore Andrew Gamper took home the team's third podium with a second-place result in the 200 fly.

Coach Cameron: "The BC Invite was a great way to start the season. We competed well and had many great swims, and it was an awesome opportunity for our divers to face some really good competition. It was exciting for our freshmen to get their first college meet under their belt as well. Griffin Lajoie led the way in the backstroke events and fly. We will put in some serious work for two weeks until we go head-to-head with Binghamton."
