Bulldogs down Sacred Heart, 6-1, Thursday
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Bryant University men's tennis team opened its weekend with a 6-1 victory over Sacred Heart on Thursday.
Coach Gendron's Comments
"We hare happy to get a road win against a much improved Sacred Heart team. Both teams competed well and displayed solid sportsmanship. In the end, we just made more balls and executed a little better. We are looking forward to our match with Buffalo on Friday."
How it Happened
- Bryant opened the match with a clean sweep of the doubles play. Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) and Wilson Dong (Bradenton, Fla.) won their first match as a ranked doubles team with a 6-3 win at No. 1.
- Kuhar then won at No. 1 and the Black and Gold clinched the match by winning all but one singles match.
- Senior Artur Jakubowski (Dallas, Texas) returned to the lineup and won at No. 3, 7-6, 6-0.
