Argentini, Ortiz-Garcia advance at ITAs

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Seniors Guido Argentini (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Jorge Isaias Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) advanced to the second round of the ITA Northeast Championships with a victory on Friday morning.

Argentini and Ortiz-Garcia downed Fordham's Lutwin de Macar and Fabian Mauritzson, 8-7 (3), to advance. They will face a doubles team from Columbia on Saturday morning.

Junior Wilson Dong (Bradenton, Fla.) fell in the first round of singles play, 6-2, 7-5, to Pete Siozios from Boston University.
